The Role

HPI and CAP are the leading UK based brands and together create a global leader in automotive software and data, covering all aspects of vehicle risk and asset management across vehicle ownership lifecycles. Delivering extraordinary growth through ROI based value propositions, smart digital solutions and the most comprehensive, accurate and timely global automotive connected data.

The Forecast Manager will have ownership of the timely production of all commercial vehicle forecast valuations, ensuring they accurately reflect future used vehicle market prices whilst incorporating emerging trends. They will manage forecast processes and systems to ensure that they are fit for purpose as well as effectively manage relationships with customers, industry bodies and the media, ensuring accuracy and transparency are to the fore.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide the most accurate trade commercial vehicle forecast values in the industry.
  • Provide detailed rationale supporting pricing positions.
  • Ensure consistency between current and future values at each age/mileage point.
  • Analyse forecast accuracy reporting to drive improvements in forecast values.
  • Support PR strategy and activity.
  • Represent cap hpi at industry events to communicate future market trends.
  • Identify & implement improvements/efficiencies within working practice and systems.
  • Ensure product, processes and systems are fit for purpose and that robust quality control checks are in place.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and mapped.
  • Ensure time is resourced appropriately and all deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that cap hpi is the lead organisation for manufacturers to call upon for market expertise.
  • Attend new model launches and set forecast values for new models.
  • Support the commercial team to drive revenue growth and account retention.
  • Write the monthly Monitor Editorial overview.
  • Accurate and representative CV forecast values are produced for our customer base.
  • Products conform to product descriptions and service level agreements.
  • Relationship between products (current and future values) are consistent.
  • Product and service improvements identified and successfully implemented.
  • Good relations maintained with all data providers and customers.
  • High quality industry PR content produced.
  • Customers and suppliers are well informed of our valuation processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Analytical background.
  • Experience of working within the UK commercial vehicle industry, preferably with a general understanding of the most significant factors likely to influence future used values.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial vehicles and the associated variants down to a granular level.
  • Understands commercial vehicle current pricing and future values.
  • Works well in a team.
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Ability to operate at all levels within an organisation.
  • Proven track record of successful 3rd party relationship building & management.
  • Proven track record of successful query & issue resolution.
