Role overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner, to work within the international payments space, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Partnering. The role will be focused on creating strong relationships, cost analysis, budgeting & forecasting, and support spend levels as well as driving key financial planning processes.

It is essential that the individual should have a commercial mind, strong core finance skills, comfortable working closely with management, be well structured and have strong analytical skills. The individual provides a consistent high-level of service in line with our company policies and procedures reflecting our corporate values and behaviours. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, is key to succeeding in this role.

What you will do

  • Prepare, analyse, interpret and deliver timely, accurate financial and activity information within strict month end deadlines.

  • Proactively work with Senior Management and Cost Centre managers, as a finance business partner, to maintain the integrity and accuracy of transactions in the general ledger, in accordance with relevant legislation and internal accounting policies.

  • Engage with Cost Centre managers to understand and deliver commercial information requirements, including cost analytics and variance analysis.

  • Lead the budget and forecasting processes for your respective functions by engaging with Senior Management and Cost Centre managers to understand roadmap plans and resources required to deliver these.

  • Work closely with Supplier Management and Procurement teams to deliver year on year cost savings within the function.

  • Collaborate with Cost Centre managers to review and approve expenditure requisitions in line with budget.

  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams

  • Provide support to various finance projects.

  • Other ad hoc duties.

Who you are

  • Solid academic record and strong quantitative skills (Qualified Financial Professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or other relevant financial education).

  • 4 - 5 year’s prior relevant experience in financial analysis or financial planning and analysis.

  • Previous experience working as a FBP in a Technology company is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Advanced Excel skills are essential to the role.

  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.

  • Self-starter who is proactive, highly motivated, organised and curious with a desire to drive constant improvement.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others, comfortable in presenting to stakeholders across the business.

  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks, while meeting all company deadlines

  • Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.

  • Ability to adapt to a changing business environment as the Group expands.

  • Flexible and a genuine team player, willing to go the extra mile to support others.
