This is a great opportunity for an English speaker; German would also be a plus to join us on a fixed term contract basis (up to 30th September 2027) to drive the commercial portfolio agenda across a dynamic and high performing Western Europe region as part of our Commercial Development team.
Balance short-and long-term priorities with an analytical approach to drive fact-based dialogue with commercial leaders, engage in collaborative dialogues with partners across internal functions and seniority levels to secure consensus for our portfolio agenda.

Core Responsibilities- Drive the national assortment listing process for Western Europe and bring our global portfolio segmentation strategy to life with a high level of execution.
- Drive the digital agenda in our portfolio team, giving strong recommendations to the global technology team on the process to harness assortment management tools; and ensure strong engagement with local sales teams or the tools presented in market.
- Function as the up-stream portfolio and listings authority on behalf of Western Europe, based on analysis and strong data, collaborating with our global commercial portfolio management team to influence development of the portfolio strategy for future years.
- Manage Business Unit partners and other relevant colleagues across Market Groups.
- Champion global outstanding Merchandising guidelines in Western Europe, with clear deployment and collaboration with colleagues working on our sales teams.
The Western European Region is the biggest Market Group within organisation covering 16 countries. This role will have significant impact on delivery of strategic choices for our retail partners, shoppers, and the company by defining the right assortment that drives the agenda on how to enhance and where to activate our portfolio for the highest impact across the region.
Do you have what it takes?
- Proven commercial role exposure, preferably in matrix organisations (international FMCG or large brand retailer exposure is a preference).
- An ability to influence and convince across functions, levels, and cultures to drive a change management agenda
- Validated analytical skills, with a focus on data led decisions translating insight into action plans that contribute to return of investment (strong Excel knowledge is needed).
- Phenomenal communication and partner management with experience of cross-functional collaboration.
- Prioritization and time management to lead own agenda and deliver high quality on time.
- Experience in digital tool deployments and ability to manage the change that brings as well as exposure to working with Space Planning and Listing tools.
- Experience in segmenting portfolio across multi, and omnichannel retailers.
- Experience understanding & developing planograms that drive strong mutual value.
- A continuous development perspective and curious approach to test and learn.
- A strong proficiency in English language (German language is a plus)
- Ability to work 3 days per week in the contracted office is required
