The Luxury Division (NET-A PORTER & MR PORTER) are now seeking a talented Commercial Planner to join the team. Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this experienced individual will provide varied support with data analysis, reporting and thoughtful insight to support the commercial team on MR PORTER.

Reporting into: Head of Commercial Planning

Contract type: Fixed-Term (1 year)

Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:

  • Support the delivery of Annual Budget, Monthly Forecasts and 3-Year Plans for the Mr Porter business, including the strategic planning of sales and gross margin.

  • Prepare financial planning models to support the Commercial Planning Manager in the build-up of the Annual Budget and Monthly Forecasts

  • Revise forecasts along the year to flag risks/opportunities to the business and enable them to drive initiatives accordingly

  • Support the Commercial Planning Manager with the creation of the outbound volume projections for operations capacity planning along with weekly reforecasting of volumes

  • Liaise with business areas (CRM, data analytics, performance marketing, site) in the build up of customer, channel and regional targets

  • Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, (promotional activity, customer and regional performance), return rates and margin to inform business decisions and priorities

  • Provide weekly and mid-week performance updates to senior executives to enable the business to drive initiatives and action plans

  • Deliver high quality, insightful analysis that facilitates effective decision making (including impact on P&L)

  • Track financial KPIs & ensure that relevant actions are taken to deliver optimal performance

  • Work closely with merchandising, marketing and site teams to evaluate KPIs and support trading decisions

  • Proactive demonstration of commercial acumen to identify opportunities and drive these through to value creation

  • Be flexible to the ever-changing demands of the business

  • Commercial experience in a similar role in a fast-paced retail environment is essential

  • Advanced Excel modelling capabilities and experience of data visualization tools

  • Excellent communication skills & ability to work at all levels of the organisation

  • First class analytical skills and commercial acumen

  • Team player
