As a Commercial Operations Manager at Global, you will play a pivotal role as the central point for Global Studios, identifying areas for improvement, leading impactful projects and ultimately ensuring our commercial teams are able to carry out their roles with ease.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the operational side of all Global Studios Projects, ensuring seamless collaboration, streamlined execution, and clear accountability across teams, with a focus on Global’s newest acquisitions
As a key stakeholder for how Global operates commercially for Global Studios, you will work to champion operational excellence in collaboration with (but not limited too) Technology, Ad Ops, Legal, Finance, Sales, Delivery, Branded Content & Strategy.
Building profile and a network within the SLT for Global Studios, supporting the team to bring key commercial business priorities to fruition.
Working with your Commercial Operations Manager counterparts you will ensure the broader commercial teams benefit from your operational expertise across Radio and DAX.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration (30%): Build strong cross-functional relationships, proactively connecting the dots across departments and representing Commercial Operations Delivery in high priority working groups and SLT initiatives.
Innovation, Efficiency & Continuous Improvement (30%): Champion operational excellence by identifying and shaping initiatives that streamline workflows and improve commercial outcomes. Coordinate system development and prioritisation with the Director of Commercial Operations Delivery & Head of Commercial Operations Deliver.
Training, Onboarding & Capability Building (20%): Help lead the onboarding training framework for new starters, regularly review materials to ensure they stay relevant, aligned, and user-friendly. Identify training gaps and implement targeted refreshers. Act as a knowledge base for Commercial Global Studios systems and processes, sharing best practices across teams including AI initiatives
Project Leadership & Communication (20%) Lead or facilitate cross-functional projects from scoping to delivery. Own the project communications strategy: define how project updates are shared with stakeholders across Global Studios. Track progress and report on impact and outcomes to ensure accountability and visibility.

Demonstrated a detailed understanding of internal processes and pressures as well as developing and maintaining strong, effective working relationships with key teams.
Reviewed and mapped the current podcast operational workflow, identifying and implementing quick wins to improve efficiency and reduce friction.
Working with the Head of Commercial Operations Delivery, to lead Commercial through successful adoption of change including process design and documentation and contribute to system readiness.
Keeping up to date with Global’s systems & process changes, to support all connected teams.
Be part of working groups to help solve business issues relating to Global Studios.
Consult and lead on the creation and upkeep of a training framework for all new starters, to ensure a successful onboarding.
Identified and implement a clear framework for communicating projects with the wider teams, identifying your role in each project; Facilitator, decision making or subject matter expert.
Fully understand the plan for Global Studios and the important role the Commercial Operations Manager performs.
Ensured all podcast campaign data is accurately captured across relevant systems to support smooth delivery, billing and reporting. Work with internal stakeholders to manage operational dependencies linked to podcast campaigns, identifying and mitigating downstream impacts of changes or system updates. Support reporting requirements in collaboration with Analytics and Data teams where needed.
