Flowserve is looking for a Subject Matter Expert for Automation to support our Automation & Control Valve business unit.

Role Summary:

The Commercial Operation SME is the authority in regards to automation. As such, he/she is the go-to person for sales and Commercial operation when it gets to specifying both pneumatic and electric actuators. The SME will collaborate globally with cross-functional teams including Commercial Operations, Sales, Engineering & Product Management to help increase bookings, revenue and profitability.

Your role:

  • Main role is to expand our presence and bookings in the automation market.
  • Works with the commercial operation teams to define application guidelines to offer the best technical and commercial solution to given applications.
  • Works with product management and engineering to help develop or customize products that meet market requirements including requested certification
  • Works with sales to enlist Flowserve pneumatic and electric actuators on vendor’s list
  • Develop insights and recommendations related to market-level-prices
  • Develop insights and recommendations related to service requirements
  • Understand competition and how to differentiate our solution in the automation market
  • Develop training material to improve overall knowledge of various functions specific to the mining market

Your profile:

  • Deep product, service and solution expertise across the automation portfolio acquired through education or experience
  • Minimum 10  years experience in commercial operations, sales operations or related roles
  • Ability to interact globally and interface effectively across regions and functions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency with a Customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to produce professional reports and presentations
  • Think outside of the box and be creative to provide solution
  • Travel requirements globally – over 50%
