Role description:
Join our Cost and Commercial Assurance team and help clients make informed commercial decisions across a variety of sectors.
Working alongside a Senior Cost Consultant, you will support the delivery of cost verification commissions, analysing complex financial information, assessing contractual compliance and presenting clear, evidence-based findings and recommendations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Quantity Surveying, accountancy or commercial background who enjoys working with data, asking the right questions and turning detailed analysis into meaningful client insight.
Role accountabilities:
- Manage defined areas of cost verification commissions
- Analyse cost data against contractual and commercial principles
- Review cost and commercial management systems and processes
- Undertake data sampling, payroll and employment contract audits
- Work with project and finance teams to obtain and understand key information
- Produce working papers, close-out reports and practical recommendations
- Present findings clearly to contractors and other stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior colleagues
- Travel to client sites and other UK locations when required
Qualifications & Experience:
You will also bring:
- Experience of cost systems such as COINS, SAP, ICON or Oracle
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of target cost or cost-reimbursable construction contracts
- The ability to analyse and interpret complex data
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Clear, confident communication with stakeholders at different levels
- The ability to work independently, collaborate effectively and deliver to deadlines
