Location/Division Specific Information

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Sciences, and Recycling. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line where customers put a premium on adaptability, reliability, and ease of use. Discover Impactful Work:

This role is a commercial leadership position responsible for leading sales operations in line with defined strategies in order to achieve sales targets and market share objectives for our Environmental and Process Monitoring product lines in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

A day in the Life:

  • Manages and supports the direct sales teams and collaborates with the EMEA channel managers activities for the related product lines.
  • Build and maintain a strong, motivated team through management and personal development of its members.
  • Achieve a high level of customer happiness/dedication.
  • Drive growth through continuous improvement (PPI)
  • Chips in to the overall sales goals by achieving quarterly and annual region/country targets with accurate weekly forecasting process.
  • Comply to the company T&C and financial guidelines.
  • Will have a strong working relationship with product marketing to ensure that effective lead generation and marketing campaigns are crafted and driven in the region that will help build a strong sales funnel.
  • Provide strategic feedback and market intelligence into the leadership team.

Keys to Success:

  • Achieve sales targets for region in line with key selling objectives in EMEA for the Environmental and Process Monitoring product line.
  • Owns forecast activities for the region.
  • Fully implement all business processes, procedures and programs related to the Commercial Organization including SFDC and forecasting.
  • Champion and apply PPI methodologies to lead and improve the commercial processes in the territory.
  • Give input to define the Commercial Strategy and complete the Tactical sales activities and metrics for the sales professionals.
  • Visit customers and distributors regularly to promote strategic relationships and to identify new business opportunities.
  • Always ensure the highest professional relationship with our customer base to achieve customer dedication and bring up issues when vital to address critical tasks in the fastest way possible.
  • Develop sales alignments with other sales teams and the respective service organizations.
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and applicable laws.

Education

  • Professional background in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Business or related subjects.

Experience

  • Experience in a sales management role
  • Solid understanding of customer drivers for covered product lines/instrumentation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Solid understanding of customer drivers for covered product lines/instrumentation
  • French language an advantage

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Frequent Team visits in the EMEA region, customers and distributors visits. 30-40% travel required.
