Commercial FP&A Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial FP&A Analyst in our London office.

Department Overview:

The Commercial Finance department based in London looks after all the strategic planning and reporting for the EMEA region. The team is positioned in the commercial head office to support sound financial business decisions, interact with and optimize relationships across all departments with a focus on Retail, Ecommerce and Wholesale.

In addition the team works alongside their finance counterparts based in Switzerland and US.

What You’ll Do:

  • Weekly sales and KPI reporting, for distribution to key stakeholders
  • Month end closure review for retail sales and costs, explaining movements to budget/forecast and presenting this clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting and challenging business partners on cost optimisation to drive profitability
  • Supporting Finance Manager with the Retail annual budgeting and Quarterly reforecast in conjunction with business partners. Focusing on sales and direct costs including field payroll
  • Ownership of District/regional store sales and KPI planning process. Responsible for phasing these plans down to weekly & daily level
  • Supporting Finance Manager on monthly field payroll review meetings with Regional Directors and local HR teams, challenging headcount within stores and producing supporting analysis when headcount changes are needed.
  • Ownership of calculating quarterly field bonus and monthly commissions, ensuring high accuracy of calculations, full sign off from District Managers/ Regional Directors
  • Produce month end packs incorporating all aspects for store performance, including variance analysis and providing value-adding commentary to explain movements to enable decision making by Senior Management
  • Working closely with the senior Retail head office and field teams on ad hoc analysis to help drive business performance, including developing new employee incentive strategies
  • Provide ad hoc support to planning, US and retail teams as required.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA (Beginner or part qualified), study support provided
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Understand the fashion retail business in order to advise on opportunities for further business growth and operational excellence
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong business partnering experience.
  • Strong communication skills in a cross-cultural environment. Ability to communicate with Finance and Non Finance stakeholders
  • Be a self-starter able to manage own time, priorities and drive key projects.
