Commercial Finance Manager – Southern Europe

Role Overview:

As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, commercial reporting and providing financial support to Southern European JD Markets. This role entails strategic financial management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring sound financial decision-making across multiple business units.

You will work collaboratively with the other key departments to deliver seamless, high-quality output to your stakeholders. There may be travel involved on an ad-hoc basis. 


Responsibilities:

  • Budget and Forecast Management of the South Europe region
    • Able to prepare financial summary packs for the region and undestand key variances
  • Present and communicate effectively to senior leadership the latest forecast
  • Work closely and partner other business units and undestand cost drivers
  • Able to challenge these departments and support them with business cases
  • A vital component of the role is also supporting the Senior Commercial FM on reporting and analysis across the European region
  • The role will focus on all the component forecasting of JD Italy whilst supporting JD Iberia Commerical Finance team.
  • Production and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reporting for the region
  • Collate payroll data across Southern Europe markets and distribute weekly/monthly reports
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly bonus calculations
  • Ensuring data is accurate, complete, and maintained regularly for all Europe markets
  • Management of timelines and submissions in line with Group Finance deadlines and agreed timelines with stakeholders
  • Active involvement in design, development and maintenance of new reports and modelling


Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or Equivalent): +2 years post qualified
  • Industry Expertise (Retail or Fashion):
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, enthusiasm, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges
