Job Objective

To act as the right hand of the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in helping establish reporting for new Commercial functions and capabilities under the Transformation umbrella. The role involves pulling together various strands of the BAU & transformation processes, including creating business cases, performance tracking, and liaising with the Group FP&A team and the Transformation PMO.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Support Commercial Operations: Assist in the setup and transformation of Commercial Operations functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Business Case Development: Create and evaluate business cases to support new commercial initiatives and projects.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the performance of multiple, rapidly moving projects, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Act as a key liaison between the CCO, Group FP&A team, and Transformation PMO, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Contribute to financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring that outputs are effectively planned, reported, and shared.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present to, and influence, senior management and other internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of key information.

Influence And Decision-Making Authority

Directs activities that have significant impact to the achievement of results for the sub function. Focus is on the development and implementation of short-to-mid-term strategies (e.g., 3 years or less).. Requires ability to communicate with, and influence, executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organisation. Responsible for improving upon processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are undefined, and require detailed analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems are moderately complex.

Job Requirements & Capabilities

  • Proven experience in supporting Commercial Operations functions, preferably during the setup phase or transformation.
  • Ideally, experience in a professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience in managing and reporting on multiple, rapidly moving projects, with a preference for transformation or organizational change projects involving Commercial Operations.
  • Strong modelling skills and experience in building business cases.
  • Some experience in FP&A to effectively plan, report, and share outputs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, particularly with senior management and other internal/external stakeholders.
