We’re hiring for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team in London.
Purpose of the Role
As Commercial Finance Business Partner you’ll partner with Client Leads, Service Line Leadership (Brand CEOs), and the Service Line Commercial Finance Lead to strengthen commercial decision-making, balancing revenue growth, cost management, and margin optimisation to deliver sustainable profitability and cash flow performance. You’ll support the Commercial Finance Lead in the review and challenge of budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial plans are robust, insight-driven, and prepared to a consistently high standard.
Working closely with the Central FP&A team, the role ensures that both income and cost assumptions are aligned to strategic objectives, operational delivery, and long-term value creation. Providing proactive engagement with Brand and Client leadership, you’ll help to shape income strategy alongside cost efficiency, improving commercial discipline and driving margin performance across a portfolio of 300+ clients. The role acts as a strategic finance partner, identifying risks, unlocking growth opportunities, and embedding a commercially balanced, performance-driven culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Line Forecasting and Performance: Own forecasting and financial delivery across Media client revenues and PA costs (£120m+), working in close partnership with Central FP&A, Client, and operational teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group standards.
- Revenue Growth, Cost Management and Commercial Performance: Partner with business leadership to drive profitable revenue growth, ensuring income strategies are aligned with delivery capability, pricing discipline, and margin expectations.
- Client Income and Business Performance Insight: Support in shaping client income strategy, supporting growth planning and revenue optimisation across brands and channels and providing clear visibility of revenue performance drivers, linking income trends to operational delivery, resourcing, and cost impacts.
- Decision Support: Enable business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions through high-quality analysis, actionable insight, and constructive commercial challenge, translating financial performance into clear operational implications across growth initiatives, investment decisions, and cost management actions.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Act as the Finance representative within the business, ensuring specialist teams are engaged to optimise revenue delivery, cost management, and profitability throughout the client lifecycle, building strong partnerships with Brand CEOs, Managing Partners, and Client Leads to drive commercially sound and value-accretive decisions.
Qualifications + Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years PQE.
- Experience in a commercial finance role, ideally from an FP&A background.
- Strong experience in revenue reporting, commercial/contractual costs and client negotiations.
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritise multiple, conflicting deadlines and navigate effectively amidst ambiguity and change, proactively driving things forward.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to see the high-level strategic view whilst also understanding the detail of processes & tasks at the bottom level.
