About the role
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to support the GB Commercial Finance Team.
The role will provide day-to-day financial and analytical support to the commercial finance team and business partner our field sales and key account team. This is a newly created role to enhance reporting, provide insightful data analysis, and support forecasting and process improvements. The role will help the business better understand financial performance and support commercial decision-making and involves business-partnering our field sales and key account teams.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver weekly and monthly reporting and analysis
Assist with month-end processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Supports OFT activity management
Detailed cash / invoicing performance review
Support analysis of customer performance
Help prepare presentations and reports for commercial and senior stakeholders
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from the commercial finance team
Help improve reporting processes and identify automation opportunities
Initial support of the creation of a BPM process for field sales and key accounts and then performance manage ongoing.
Ideal Experience / Qualifications / Capabilities
Degree (or studying toward) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
Skilled in financial analysis and modelling, with intermediate/advanced excel proficiency
Strong understanding of how financial outcomes relate to business drivers
Effective communicator, confident in sharing insights with varied stakeholders
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Interest in pursuing a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
Experience in FP&A, management accounting, or commercial finance
Exposure to finance systems or reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel models)
Exposure to FMCG
