Who we are 🩵

We’re the people behind global loyalty currency, Avios, and home to two ambitious, growing businesses across Loyalty and Holidays. Each business has its own goals, strategy and team, but collectively we share a purpose to create the world’s most rewarding experiences for our customers through loyalty programmes, new products and holidays

We’re on a truly exciting journey of growth and transformation – we’re going places! This is where you come in.

The opportunity

This role provides commercial finance support for IAG Loyalty’s Air Partnership, Redemption and Proposition teams. This is a highly commercial role that will entail working with multiple stakeholders, focusing on understanding financial performance and helping to maximise the value of decisions taken for our members, IAGL and IAG carriers.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager – Air Partnerships and Redemption, the successful candidate will provide finance support for future changes in customer proposition within the IAG loyalty programmes, and work with stakeholders across IAG to deliver value for the IAG group.

This role is based out of our London office. We call our approach to hybrid working The Blendit’s about giving you the flexibility to choose where you do your best work, while staying connected with your team and the wider business. This means you will be required to spend at least two days per week in the office, with the rest of the time working from home. You may also be required to work from one of our other office or partner locations, based on your role and 'to do' list.

 What you’ll get up to🌠

  • Business partnering the IAG Loyalty Pricing and Air Partnership team using the latest performance trends, campaign activity and proposition changes to forecast future outcomes. Pro-actively delivering insights and analysis to influence decision making through financial analysis and modelling.

  • Preparation of business cases to support investment decisions for partner contract negotiations, renewals and propositional changes to identify financially optimal proposals for IAG Loyalty and our stakeholders across IAG.

  • Challenging stakeholders to ensure decisions are made using robust assumptions and drive performance improvements through tracking of KPIs and metrics.

  • Support the IAG Loyalty financial reporting team with month end close, reviewing the accuracy of postings and regularly presenting performance insights to stakeholders.

  • Identify and analyse performance risks and opportunities and propose potential mitigations to help manage the P&L with business owners and the Head of Loyalty Finance.

  • Support the annual planning and quarterly reforecasting process for Air Partner Issuance and Redemption, working with stakeholders in IAGL and the IAG carriers to ensure that plans are aligned.

  • Rigorously challenge established processes and ways of working to identify opportunities to better understand commercial performance drivers and improve efficiency.

  • Partner the Head of Proposition to manage all financial aspects of IAG Loyalty’s annual Customer expenditure budget.

What we need from you 💡

  • Strong business partnering skills and the ability to build effective relationships

  • Adaptable and self-motivated problem solver

  • Has a desire to learn and improve, regularly seeking feedback from others

  • A passionate and engaging communicator, this role requires communication at all levels within the organisation to both finance and non-finance colleagues

  • Excellent verbal, written, numeracy and data-handling skills

  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment

  • A team player with a proactive approach to their work, with the ability to be flexible, and meet deadlines as required

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (the ability to create pivot tables, lookups, manipulate large volume of data, match/index formulae as a minimum)

  • Currently studying towards a professional qualification or has recently qualified (e.g. CIMA, ACCA)

We might not be right for you if:

  • You only want to focus on your to-do list; we’re a small, high-performing team, we help each other to succeed.

  • You value perfection over fast iteration and progress; IAG Loyalty moves fast, we learn and iterate as we go; our environment isn’t right for everyone.

  • You’re looking to create but not build; this is an end-to-end role, you need to be comfortable owning your space, from ideation through to delivery and review.

If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please do still apply. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit.
