The AKQA Group, is seeking a Commercial Financial Analyst to join the team. The Commercial Finance Analyst role is a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Finance Business Partner and working closely with the other members of the wider AKQA Group. The person will provide support to the Finance Business Partner in all the monthly, annual, and ad hoc commercial performance and planning activities of the business. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day reporting of projects and business performance. This role will play an integral part in the Operational team supporting the Finance team, Creative Teams, and Client Services.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Working with Paprika system, Google docs, spreadsheets and other reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with the Client Services team to ensure accurate job setup and correct data entry.
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner with Commercial Reporting e.g. Revenue Forecasting and Pipeline Analysis.
  • Produce and identify trends within Studio Utilisation, highlighting key areas for improvement.
  • Partner with the Partnerships & Growth team to ensure tracking of leads and relevant data.
  • Ownership of weekly Capacity Reporting, to assess team workload and availability to take on new projects.
  • Be the main point of contact for job and client queries within the Finance department.
  • Support the Creative Talent & Resource Assistant: Ensure updates of accounting system with personnel changes - new starters, leavers, and promotions.
  • Assist in preparing the Monthly Commercial Reporting Pack: Analysis of revenue – looking at key data such as sector/location of client, size and types of projects
  • Producing client growth reports, analysing trends and opportunities for growth
  • Ensuring Paprika is up to date and jobs are closed in a timely manner
  • Tracking of investment and client overspends, looking at trends and understanding impacts of decisions.
  • Contribute to Quarterly Board Meeting Packs.
  • Support system enhancements and process improvements to streamline financial operations and increase efficiency.
  • Support Finance Business Partner with ad-hoc commercial requests.

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Bring a positive and can-do attitude to all tasks and be pro-active in facilitating expectations on the Finance team.
  • Be eager to constantly develop and embrace challenges with a view for development and learning within the team.
  • Good communication is key to this role, particularly with internal stakeholders
  • Have the ability to multitask, be able to always prioritise and maintain balance.
  • Bring experience of working within a strong team and demonstrate support and assistance to team members.
  • Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Experience and an understanding of Paprika is a benefit or a similar accounting system is essential.
