We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst in Commercial Finance (Digital) to help teams deliver exceptional online performance and support the priorities of the Digital Centre of Excellence.
As the Commercial Finance Analyst (Digital), you will be a key member of the Digital Commercial Finance team, delivering financial analysis and insight across all areas of current Digital priorities including online trading and Digital initiatives. You will be heavily involved in the FP&A process and the ongoing work to automate and streamline the e2e forecasting process.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Commercial Finance Managers across the range of Digital trading priorities including sales and gross margin analysis, product, promotion, marketing channel ROI, fulfilment locations options, payment methods, returns
- Strong contributor to efforts improving visibility and minimising the financial impact of Non EPOS adjustments
- Drive better understanding of the component parts across cost lines, working with named cost line owners in the commercial finance team
- Deliver analytical and modelling support of our Digital initiative portfolio
- Support FP&A activities whilst continuing to automate and streamline core FP&A processes in TM1
- Manage the sales and margin process upload for all Re-Forecasts and Budget submissions
- Review all cost line inputs prior to submission and ensure a full review of trading and head office P&Ls prior to submitting
- Regularly review actuals vs forecasts within TM1 (spotting any ‘house keeping’ issues) ad report where necessary
- Support development of FP&A packs including performance reviews in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Manage ongoing reporting of trade performance aligned to flash and board reporting packs
- Provide data analysis and financial modelling support as needed across the team
- Support contract negotiations working with Procurement
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
- Qualified or part qualified CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA accountant.
- Strong data analytics skills and experience including SQL and advanced Excel
- Understanding of ecommerce or online businesses including customer, marketing, operational and financial data, metrics and KPIs
- Good interpersonal skills, with a track record of developing positive working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Skilled at prioritising tasks in fast paced environment and identifying opportunities and risks
- Not afraid to challenge the status quo
- Positive, flexible, enthusiastic and driven
- Expertise across management accounts in a Digital environment to drive strong links across the finance function
- Experience of TM1 a plus
