Overview

We have an excellent and rare opportunity for a senior-level Commercial leader to drive and own the regional commercial plan for Pragmatic Semiconductor and work across the business to turn opportunities into repeat, scalable revenue. Reporting to the SVP Sales, Business Development and Product Management, this is a critical role with responsbility for leading our sales and business development across Europe, with responsibility for revenue, order intake and account growth across both IDM and Foundry.

You will drive adoption of standard FlexIC products - including NFC and RFID solutions - through brands and ecosystem partners. You will also develop Foundry opportunities with customers designing custom integrated circuits, converting technical engagements into funded development programmes, design wins and wafer orders.

We are looking for experienced Commercial leaders who can operate with both the independance to drive regional growth, as well as someone who can collaborate highly effectively across the business.

The successful candidate will ideally be based in Europe, or based in the UK with significant international travel.

Key responsbilities

Short term:

• Establish the European sales plan, prioritising markets, accounts and partners across IDM and Foundry, with clear targets and account ownership

• Build executive and technical relationships. Qualify customer needs, commercial potential, funding and decision processes for each opportunity

Medium term:

• IDM: work with brands, inlay manufacturers, converters and solution partners to move product evaluations and qualification into volume orders

• Foundry: coordinate technical and commercial engagement from feasibility and design enablement through funded development, tape-out and production wafer orders

• Negotiate pricing, development fees, supply agreements and commercial terms within approval limits. Align commitments with technical readiness and capacity

Long term and ongoing:

• Grow European accounts and partners to increase IDM sales and recurring Foundry wafer revenue

• Maintain separate IDM and Foundry pipelines and forecasts. Distinguish firm orders, development milestones and indicative production demand. Escalate risks early

• Work with Marketing, Product, Engineering and Operations on demand generation, customer delivery and market input to product and technology roadmaps

Qualifications and experience
  • Proven European sales and business development success in semiconductors and RFID or related technology, with ownership of revenue and order intake targets

  • Experience selling standard products and custom technology or foundry services, with an understanding of design-in cycles, qualification and production ramps

  • Ability to develop European customer and partner relationships, engaging senior executives, procurement and engineering teams

  • Strong commercial negotiation, account planning, CRM and forecasting skills, including development fees, project milestones and volume supply agreements

  • Hands-on commercial leadership in a high-growth environment, able to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage long, technically complex sales cycles

  • A technical degree is preferred, while knowledge of NFC, RFID, IC design or semiconductor manufacturing is desirable

  • Excellent communication skills, commercial judgement and willingness to travel across Europe and internationally, including the Cambridge office requirement

Critical Success Factors
  • Achievement of agreed European revenue and order intake targets, tracked separately for IDM and Foundry

  • IDM: conversion of evaluations and qualification into volume orders, repeat business and improved forward order coverage

  • Foundry: conversion of technical engagements into funded development, design wins and wafer orders, with progress against agreed programme milestones

  • Growth of a qualified European pipeline and strategic accounts across both businesses, with clear routes to production revenue

  • Accurate forecasts that distinguish development revenue, firm product or wafer orders and uncommitted future demand

  • Customer commitments aligned with technical readiness and manufacturing capacity, supported by effective cross-functional collaboration

Candidates who do not meet every requirement but feel their skills are a good fit for the role the role are encouraged to apply.

Pragmatic Semiconductor is committed to equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion; we strive to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams. We celebrate difference and encourage everyone to be themselves at work. Please let us know if you would like any adjustments to our application and interview process.
