As a Commercial Creative Lead, Podcasts at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Creative DevelopmentGenerating standout ideas aligned with both advertiser goals and podcast formats, including overseeing creative brief assessment and tone alignment.
  • Deliver Multi-Platform CampaignsCrafting and executing high-performing, cross-platform podcast campaigns that go beyond traditional formats and deliver real results.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partnering with sales, producers, podcasters, and internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and smooth delivery of commercial activations.
  • Drive Growth and Innovation: Leading brainstorms, pushing creative boundaries, and championing new formats to fuel commercial podcast growth and market leadership.

What You’ll Love About This Role

Think Big: You’ll dream up bold, original advertising ideas for some of the UK’s most iconic podcasts - creating multi-platform campaigns that break away from the traditional host-read format and drive real commercial results. Your creativity will shape how brands show up in audio, video, digital, and social.

Own It: From pitch to production, whilst collaborating with other teams, you’ll take the lead with campaign ideation, creative brief assessment, and execution. You’ll work decisively, bringing your ideas to life while ensuring they align perfectly with both client and podcast goals.

Keep it Simple: You’ll master the art of translating complex client briefs into clear, engaging concepts for podcasters. Your ability to distil key messages into sharp creative executions will make campaigns both effective and effortless to execute.

Better Together: This role thrives on collaboration - you’ll work hand-in-hand with podcasters, producers, sales, and internal teams. Your ability to build strong relationships and inspire creative thinking across departments will be key to producing standout campaigns and growing the business.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Led the development and delivery of multiple omnichannel podcast advertising campaigns, working across audio, video, digital, and social to showcase innovative solutions for advertisers
  • Established strong relationships with podcasters, producers, talent agents, and key internal teams, ensuring a smooth and collaborative approach to campaign ideation
  • Played a key role in pitching and securing new business opportunities, contributing to Global’s growth in the podcast advertising market

  • Podcast Industry Expertise: A proven commercial track record within the podcast space.
  • Creative Campaign Development: Experience crafting creative-led ideas across audio-visual formats.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A balance of analytical thinking and creative innovation.
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Confidence in prioritising tasks and making independent decisions.
  • Deadline Discipline: Ability to self-manage time and meet both internal and external deadlines.
  • Media Project Delivery: Skilled in managing complex media projects from start to finish.
  • Talent Collaboration: Comfortable working directly with talent, agents, and producers.
  • Cross-Media Understanding: Knowledge of how podcasting fits into the broader media and marketing mix.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external clients.
  • Coaching and Development: Nurturing talent by empowering and guiding individuals to unlock their potential
