We are seeking a driven Major Account Executive with proven sales and relationship management skills, ideally within logistics or B2B sectors. You will focus on membership renewals, revenue growth, and lead management while collaborating remotely across teams. Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach are essential to succeed in this role.

Why Join Logistics UK?

Logistics UK, previously known as the FTA, is one of the largest business groups in the United Kingdom, representing the entire logistics industry. Our membership includes companies from the road, rail, sea, and air sectors, as well as buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers. Although our name has changed, our focus remains the same. We continue to provide essential services, support, and expert advice to our members.

An efficient supply chain is crucial to keeping Britain trading. It directly supports over seven million people involved in making, selling, and moving goods that affect everyone, everywhere.

With Brexit, advances in technology, and other disruptive changes reshaping how goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to the UK economy.

Key Responsibilities

The Major Account Executive plays a vital supporting role to Major Account Managers, focusing on renewing memberships and securing new revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and effective lead management. Based remotely, this role involves close collaboration with teams across Logistics UK, helping to deliver exceptional service and build lasting relationships with members across the UK and Northern Ireland – ensuring they remain at the heart of everything we do.

  • Drive Sales and Membership Growth: Achieve targets for new member recruitment, upselling, and cross-selling of Logistics UK products and services.
  • Account Management Support: Assist in managing and growing MAM portfolios, supporting revenue retention, growth, and contract renewals.
  • Lead Generation and Collaboration: Generate commercial leads and work closely with the Contract Management team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Member Engagement and Relationship Building: Engage with core members remotely, build cross-functional relationships, and enhance Logistics UK’s profile and opportunities.
  • Administrative Accuracy and KPI Achievement: Maintain accurate sales records in the CRM system, complete visit reports, and meet all KPIs.
  • Support and Representation: Contribute flexibly to other business functions, support debt management, and promote the reputation and values of Logistics UK
Requirements
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and flexible with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Sales experience, ideally in B2B sectors, with knowledge of transport and logistics preferred.
  • Skilled in negotiation, influencing, and persuasion, delivering tailored solutions using a full product range.
  • Understanding of commercial pipeline management and business development.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, with a driving licence desirable

If you’re motivated to drive results, build strong relationships, and grow within a leading organisation, Logistics UK is the place for you. Join us and contribute to a team that values collaboration, innovation, and member success. Apply today to take the next step in your career.
