The Role

GLAMOUR UK is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Commerce Writer to work on expanding and optimising the brand’s beauty shopping content offering. The ideal candidate will be passionate about shopping across every vertical – from fashion to gifting – but will have a particular interest in makeup, skincare and haircare. 

The candidate will be tasked with growing the affiliate revenue earned by GLAMOUR through its beauty buying guides. To hit revenue targets, they will write new beauty review features, cover product launches, cover sale events like Black Friday, and optimise existing shopping content for both affiliates and SEO. 

The successful candidate will be organised and have a strong eye for detail. An eagerness to share recommendations with readers via video is a must – as is an ability to analyse traffic and conversion results from past content to make recommendations for future stories.

What will you be doing?

  • Write, edit and maintain product buying guide pages.

  • Source products and write reviews in partnership with the wider editorial team. 

  • Work with audience growth teams to increase revenue from buying guides through SEO. 

  • Monitor online retailers for deals of interest to the GLAMOUR audience.

  • Lead coverage of major sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday alongside the wider commerce team.

  • Generate ideas for promoting product and commerce content on social media, newsletters and beyond.

Who you are?

  • Proven experience in consumer journalism.

  • Strong product and technical knowledge.

  • Knowledge of basic SEO principles and best practice.

  • Ability to write clean, engaging copy without resorting to jargon.

  • Organised and methodical approach to work.

  • Experience or passion for beauty desirable.
