Who we are 🩵

We’re the people behind the global loyalty currency, Avios, and home to three ambitious, growing businesses; IAG Loyalty, British Airways Holidays and The Wine Flyer. Each business has its own goals and strategy, but collectively we create brilliant experiences for our global customers.

We’re on a truly exciting journey of growth and transformation – we’re going places! This is where you come in.

The opportunity ✨

We’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented CMS Manager to be our go-to expert on Contentful. You’ll primarily be responsible for creating and updating content in the CMS, and we’ll also rely on your technical expertise to define our CMS authoring experience and the content model that underpins it.

You’ll spend approximately 70% of your time on CMS and content management work, with the remaining 30% dedicated to other content areas that interest you—such as content design, SEO, measurement and optimisation, process definition, personalisation, and more.

This role is based out of our London office. We call our approach to hybrid working The Blend — it’s about giving you the flexibility to choose where you do your best work, while staying connected with your team and the wider business. This means you will be required to spend at least two days per week in the office, with the rest of the time working from home. You may also be required to work from one of our other office or partner locations, based on your role and 'to do' list.

What you’ll get up to 🌠

Content Management

  • Own and optimise processes for content uploading and management, including briefing, QA, and ongoing maintenance

  • Create and update content in the CMS, ensuring it follows brand guidelines, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG)

  • Contribute to the development of best-practice standards and documentation

  • Upload, format, and optimise text, images, videos, and other digital assets for web publication

  • Review and proofread content for grammar, accuracy, and tone

  • Identify and fix content errors, broken links, and layout issues

  • Maintain metadata, tagging, and categorisation for searchability and analytics tracking

  • Champion the importance of accessible design

CMS Design and Governance

  • Develop expert-level understanding of Contentful capabilities and encyclopaedic knowledge of our content models and CMS configuration

  • Advise on content modelling best practices and define what that looks like for IAG Loyalty

  • Collaborate with developers to define the authoring experience and component configuration

  • Test new CMS features, plugins, or design updates before deployment

  • Create robust documentation on processes and CMS usage

What we need from you 💡

CMS and Content Management Expertise

  • Experience working in a CMS role, including experience with headless CMSs

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Contentful

  • Strong knowledge of content tooling and its effective use, including Contentful, Bynder, ContentSquare, Kameleoon, and Hotjar

  • Experience setting up content models for sites with multiple regional and language variants

  • Strong attention to detail and editorial accuracy

  • Solid understanding of best practices and standards, including accessibility guidelines

  • Experience working on at least one large-scale migration project

  • Proven track record of defining and refining production processes

General

  • Experience working within an agile project management environment

  • Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders, providing timely estimates and regular updates

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience in content design, SEO, content testing, measurement, and optimisation

  • Understanding of UX principles and responsive design

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

  • Intermediate Spanish language skills

We might not be right for you if:

  • You only want to focus on your to-do list; we’re a small, high-performing team, we help each other to succeed.

  • You value perfection over fast iteration and progress; IAG Loyalty moves fast, we learn and iterate as we go; our environment isn’t right for everyone.

  • You’re looking to create but not build; this is an end-to-end role, you need to be comfortable owning your space, from ideation through to delivery and review.

If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please do still apply. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit.
