Job Description

We are looking for an experienced technology-oriented Project Manager who will be responsible for the day today delivery, management and reporting of customer focused cloud application migration projects and internal Cyber Service & Technology roadmap projects including leading on Business Change and solution adoption

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage multiple projects across a diverse client base.
  • Support pre-sales activities by contributing to ITT responses, presenting NEC Software Solutions’ implementation methodology, producing relevant documentation, and advising on commercial viability based on prior experience.
  • Lead the delivery of projects—whether as standalone engagements, part of a wider internal programme, or smaller phased deliverables—by coordinating internal resources and solution specialists.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to initiate and plan projects in line with PRINCE2 principles, establishing appropriate governance and project structures.
  • Act as the primary client contact throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring effective communication, expectation management, and successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor and control project progress, budget, and billing activities, including milestone tracking, accurate forecasting, and revenue assurance.
  • Produce and maintain key project documentation including plans, logs, reports, and governance records.
  • Lead and participate in client-facing meetings such as project kick-offs, checkpoints, and steering boards, providing clear updates and direction.
  • Report regularly to internal stakeholders and senior leadership on progress, performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee work package management, task allocation, and third-party supplier coordination to ensure delivery quality and timelines are met.
  • Analyse key delivery metrics and implement continuous improvement measures where needed.
  • Support the process of designing and implementing the solution by engaging with Cloud engineering, security working group and technology Architecture teams.
  • Ensure smooth and successful hand-over from project to operational and support teams for the ongoing delivery of BAU service.
  • Seek to enhance the NECSWS Project Management Processes by participating in continuous improvement initiatives, updating processes and documentation as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in managing complex hosting, cloud migration or SAAS and technology upgrade projects. 
  • Prince 2 Qualified or experience working to this methodology
  • Ability to lead and motivate internal project teams, clients and third parties
  • Ability to work in a commercially astute way, making considered decisions based on an understanding of the facts and commercial perspective
  • Able and willing to travel throughout the UK and overseas
  • Proficient user in MS Project and other MS product suites
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills
  • Experience managing budgets, revenue, and project margins.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Managing multiple project teams at the same time.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Previous experience of working on Post Merger and Integration projects is desirable
  • Able to plan, organise and control all aspects of project delivery
  • Good technical knowledge and have ability to understand and communicate technical solution details to both technical and non-technical audiences  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment 

Desired Knowledge and Experience

  • ITIL Service Management accreditation
  • Sound understanding of technology solutions and their application within government and corporate marketplace
