The Role

Role Overview

The Full Stack Cloud Native Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native applications. This role spans the full technology stack—from front-end interfaces to back-end services—and emphasizes cloud-native principles, DevOps automation, and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end cloud-native solutions using modern frameworks and platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, serverless).
  • Lead architecture workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps and cloud adoption strategies.
  • Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
  • Ensure adherence to cloud well-architected frameworks (AWS WAF, Azure CAF, Google Cloud Architecture) for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Guide development teams in implementing microservices, API gateways, and service mesh patterns.
  • Integrate observability, logging, and monitoring into all layers of the stack.
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and DevSecOps practices to ensure high-quality delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Angular, HTML/CSS) and back-end frameworks (Node.js, Java, .NET Core).
  • Proficiency with multiple IDEs such as Eclipse, Intellij, and/or Visual Code
  • Knowledge and experience performing application modernization assessments using popular tools and approaches
  • Knowledge and experience with AI offerings for development such as Github Copilot, AWS Developer Q, and/or GCP MAT.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices: GitOps, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, and rollback strategies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native security, policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel), and compliance automation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to drive architectural decisions and mentor development teams.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Security Specialist
