About the role:
We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on engineer who is curious, proactive, and eager to develop. You don’t need to have mastered every technology listed below, but you should bring strong foundations and a genuine appetite to learn.

What You Will Be Doing
Roles and responsibilities include:

Provision, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)

Support the operation and reliability of containerised platforms, including ECS and EKS workloads

Monitor platform health and respond to alerts using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana

Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and post-incident reviews

Contribute to on-call rotations and support escalation processes as experience develops

Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and new capabilities

Maintain and improve documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Support cloud security practices, including IAM policy management and least-privilege access controls

Contribute to cost management efforts, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency across the AWS estate

Work within an agile delivery environment, participating in team ceremonies and contributing to sprint planning and delivery
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- AWS Expertise: Strong experience working with AWS in production environments, with a solid understanding of core services and best practices.
- Containerisation & Orchestration: Experience with Docker and container platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Practical experience writing, reviewing, and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Linux Systems: Comfortable supporting and troubleshooting Linux-based systems within cloud environments
- Cloud Security: Good understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM and least-privilege access.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience implementing and managing monitoring and alerting using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across both infrastructure and application layers.
- Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
