Job Description

Join the Cloud Labs team as a Cloud DevOps Engineer (all genders) and shape the digital future of Roland Berger! Are you passionate about cloud-native technologies, eager to pioneer innovative services, and excited to empower internal IT experts with scalable, self-service solutions? Then become part of our international IT team “Cloud Labs”. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of product design, knowledge transfer, and templated cloud architecture. Together with highly motivated colleagues, you’ll lay the digital foundation for cutting-edge ecosystems and contribute to the evolution of a modern, agile IT landscape. 

Your key responsibilities are:  

  • Standardize Azure architectures and resources using Infrastructure-as-Code — with a strong focus on automation and enabling internal teams through self-service capabilities 
  • Develop and onboard innovative cloud-based applications as part of Roland Berger's internal digital ecosystem 
  • Implement tailored cloud-native use cases that extend and enrich Roland Berger’s internal technology landscape 
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with stakeholders across the Roland Berger Group — including best practices for Kubernetes, WebApps, databases, and more 
  • Collaborate with the application development team in jointly operating cloud-based software solutions 

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable technical field 
  • Proven experience with cloud technologies — especially Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, Bicep), and CI/CD automation 
  • Solid understanding of scalable architectures, including Kubernetes, WebApps, databases, and integrations within enterprise ecosystems 
  • Familiarity with templating and designing reusable technology modules for internal service enablement 
  • Independent, product-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership and solution-driven approach 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and collaborating across disciplines 
  • Good development expertise with at least one programming language
