The Lead CLO Data Specialist will collaborate with and support the CLO Data team, maintaining and reviewing CLO deal models and monthly trustee reporting that support Trepp’s analytics platforms. This role will also involve supporting the Vice President, CLO Modelling & Operations in managing team initiatives and gathering new data sets for our products.


Core Responsibilities: 

  • CLO Knowledge Application: Utilize your expertise in CLO structures, compliance requirements, and operational workflows to support various CLO-related initiatives including deal modeling, data gathering and reporting.
  • Operations Management: Refine operational processes both internally and with vendors to identify and resolve operational issues
  • Data Quality: Support TreppCLO data quality via suggesting checks for regular data cleansing, data review and data gathering.


Additional Responsibilities:  

  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous development.
  • Engage with clients regarding inquiries and requests related to TreppCLO’s data and models.
  • Interact with Trepp systems and technology teams to specify functional enhancements and conducting subsequent quality assurance testing.
  • Assisting in ad hoc projects relating to the provision of financial data to clients.
  • Getting exposure to other asset classes in the future, and supporting the Vice President, CLO Modelling & Operations in creating and enhancing solutions/research content in that space.


Qualifications and Experience: 
 
Required: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in CLO operations or structured finance, with a broad understanding of CLO structures, compliance requirements, and operational workflows.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.

Useful: 

  • Degree in finance, economics, or related field (equivalent work experience considered).
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar languages for data querying.  


Salary Range:

  • Base salary starting from $120k plus annual discretionary bonus eligible (for US-based candidates)


Workplace Policy: 

NYC, Dallas, and London office-based positions: Trepp’s offices follow a 3-2 hybrid-working policy with the expectation of in-office work on Tuesday-Thursday and the option to work from home on Monday and Friday.
