Job Summary:
The Clinical Specialist serves as the primary clinical support, offering technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, providing patient care, and oversees the installation and maintenance of company products. Additionally, the Clinical Specialist collaborates with sales representatives to identify and develop sales opportunities within physician and hospital accounts. This position requires a combination of SCS knowledge, technical skills, and sales insight to support healthcare professionals and effectively drive the company's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide case support, including Operating Room/Procedure support
- Serve as the primary resource for clinical support including troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up for company products
- Visit customers and patients in a clinical environment (hospitals, operating rooms, clinics, and surgical centre’s) ensuring the best patient care is given
- Perform patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted devices
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers at assigned clinical sites, providing a high level of service and responsiveness through ongoing education and clinical expertise regarding the use of the company’s products
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and R & D personnel to communicate product, clinical and market information to appropriate Saluda personnel to support and develop product improvements
- Possess and share advanced clinical knowledge of the company’s products, their clinical applications, instructions for use, and procedural techniques
- Provide technical and educational training to customers on the use of the company’s products
- Works on projects as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Performance Expectations:
The Clinical Specialist will travel at least 4 out of 5 days to provide an exceptional experience for the customer and patient, develop and maintain professional & clinical relationships, identifying and resolving issues, and seeking clinical sales opportunities and potential areas for business growth. When no clinical activity is required in the region, time will be utilised supporting the engagement and education of customers or lending a helping hand to colleagues in other regions.
This role includes demonstrating a high standard of emotional intelligence and empathy, organising their daily work routine, adhering to company policies, conducting business in an ethical manner, keeping up to date with admin requirements (such as H&S, Sales Force, Arena, business expenses, PowerBI, etc.) and sometimes communicating with patients and client’s afterhours and on weekends.
Essential experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Operating room experience
- SCS experience and/or patient interaction experience
- At least 2 years of experience in implantable medical devices
- Experience in a consultative sales role is a plus
- A valid driver’s license
- Strong PC skills and computer proficiency
- Experience with Salesforce
