- Review complaints, incidents and customer feedback to identify trends, risks and areas needing further scrutiny.
- Carry out clinical audits, including medical record reviews, to assess quality of care and highlight where action is required.
- Lead quality improvement visits with hospitals and consultants, providing clear recommendations and follow‑up actions.
- Produce concise, evidence‑based reports that outline risks, findings and improvement plans.
- Manage serious clinical complaints, ensuring customers receive clear communication and appropriate resolution.
- Escalate safety‑critical issues through the right governance channels to protect patient wellbeing.
- Support commissioning, provider performance discussions and the development of tools to assess outlier behaviour.

- Being a registered, qualified clinician (RN, physio, or other allied health professional) is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of Bupa insurance and a strong understanding of governance expectations is essential.
- Strong knowledge of clinical standards, regulatory frameworks and professional requirements.
- Experience developing, implementing or enforcing clinical quality standards in a healthcare environment.

- Skilled at writing clear, evidence‑based reports for a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to influence, challenge and build trust at all levels.
- Confident decision‑maker with strong clinical judgement and the ability to assess sensitive issues.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- Empathetic particularly when handling complex or sensitive clinical matters.
- Strong IT literacy and comfortable using clinical governance or audit tools.
