The Clinical IT Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing all activities related to the implementation, configuration, validation, and support of Beckman Coulter’s Clinical IT solutions in customer laboratories.Extensive experience in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) environments is essential for success in this role. You will work directly within regulated laboratory settings, supporting diagnostic instruments, middleware, and LIS/LIMS systems. This requires a deep understanding of IVD workflows, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and the critical nature of diagnostic data in patient care.
This position reports to the Clinical IT Manager and is part of the Clinical IT Europe team, supporting the Beckman Coulter Clinical IT portfolio. The role partners closely with upstream Product teams and downstream functions including Sales, Marketing, and Project Management, and plays a key role in post‑sales support. The position is based in the UK and operates in a remote working model.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Implement and configure Clinical IT solutions, ensuring alignment with design specifications, timelines, and customer expectations
Maintain rigorous control of projects, including documentation, reporting, and compliance with quality standards
Proactively manage risks and issues during implementation, identifying corrective actions to meet project milestones
Build and sustain strong customer relationships through continuous engagement and solution‑driven support
Act as a trusted Clinical IT and IVD consultant for customers and internal stakeholders, including Pre‑Sales teams
Capture and relay customer feedback in accordance with Beckman Coulter processes
Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and future development of Clinical IT solutions
Hands‑on experience in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), including laboratory workflows, diagnostic instruments, middleware, and LIS/LIMS systems
Experience with networking, virtual environments (Hyper‑V, VMware), and Windows Server (2025, 2022, 2019)
Knowledge of laboratory analyzer connectivity and communication protocols (HL7, ASTM)
Proven ability to self‑organize, manage competing priorities, and perform in a demanding environment
Flexibility to travel 50–70% of the time across the UK or Europe and work flexible hours as business needs require
Working within a European or international team
Managing projects in complex laboratory or hospital environments
