Job Description
This role provides an opportunity to support MiFID II 'Single Officer' and their Team, being responsible for the regulatory protection of JPMSE clients' financial instruments and funds (SGCA Team). basic regulatory knowledge of MiFID II and long-term professional experience in project, team and management of internal reviews and controls, to take over responsibilities within the SGCA Team.
As an Associate within our SGCA Team, you oversee the performance and continuous evolvement of the internal framework for the oversight on First Lines' controls pertaining to Markets in Financial Instruments regulation (MiFID II) applicable to JPMSE and its passported EU branches. You will build strong relationships with the team, partners in onshore and offshore locations, the local businesses and the First, Second, and Third Line of Defence Teams of JPMSE.
Job responsibilities
- Coordinate team activities by maintaining and updating the tracking file, recording progress and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Oversee the SGCA Information Pack;
- Prepare reports for senior management & Early Escalations Management (investigation/ preparation according to business accountability);
- Support annual JPMSE products & services Completeness Check;
- Prepare and support the SGCA Governance Committees (administration of meetings, compilation of materials, drafting minutes, etc);
- Support Legal and Regulatory Change process;
- Support the organisation of the training for SGCA in-scope staff within the Lines of Business;
- Oversee the in-scope First Lines of Defence Controls;
- Monitor early escalations, incidents, and potential SGCA issues.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong professional experience in the financial services industry and knowledge pertaining to MiFID II and SGCA requirements;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills capacity to maintain strong relationships;
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills;
- Excellent analytical and issue solving abilities;
- Strong presentation and delivery skills under pressure and priorities;
- Fluent speaker in German and English.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Specialisation in Finance, Risk, Compliance or Legal.
