WHO WE ARE: 

With $41billion in media billings worldwide, Mediabrands Investment is the multi-platform strategic media investment unit of Mediabrands, the entity created by holding company IPG – a global provider of advertising and marketing solutions - to manage all its global media-related assets. Mediabrands Investment is responsible for forecasts, insights, negotiation strategy, and value creation across all media platforms.   

Mediabrands Investment has four regional hubs across EMEA, LATAM, APAC and North America. This role is to manage client partnerships in the EMEA region and for global clients housed in London. The regional hub in London consists of 20 people who work closely with the local investment teams, to deliver a truly differentiated approach to investment and innovation across the EMEA region. 


THE ROLE:
 

The Investment Manager EMEA will report into the Head of Client Solutions and Partnerships, EMEA based in London. This role will focus primarily on helping to curate, manage and track best-in-class partnerships for the likes of Kenvue, Amazon, Honda, Bayer, Dyson, Nike and Levis but will also support in the areas of Trading. 

The role will help shape the strategic direction for client partnerships in the region and globally, and will focus on the following key areas of responsibility:  

  • Help to build long-term partnership strategies for key regional and global clients 
  • Driving and measuring the most optimal value for clients through a variety of negotiation tactics 
  • Identify new ways of extracting value from media owners for clients 
  • Assist clients in evaluating and executing client direct deals with global/regional partners 
  • Surface innovative partnership opportunities that seamlessly fit clients campaign objectives 
  • Ongoing evaluation of clients’ investment strategies with media owners, and suggesting optimisations to ensure optimal value extraction  
  • Ensuring brand hygiene guidelines are implemented within global, regional and local partnerships, and being able to deliver a fast reaction, and action planning to any violations of terms. 
  • Help build multimedia partnerships when strategically relevant for a clients KPIs 
  • Quantify and capture the incremental value delivered to clients through reconciling any client partnerships with the Global Accountability team 
  • Where applicable, support on client-direct global JBP discussions  
  • Provide best practice guidance around partnership implementation and operational excellence to clients and client teams across the region 
  • Work closely with the MB Investment team EMEA to ensure trackers, partnerships & JBPs agreements are shared and uploaded onto our investment portal  
  • Participate as part of a global network of client solution investment experts, collaborating to share best practices and governance guidelines with client teams regarding Mediabrands investment toolkit solutions.

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Media buying/planning experience
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
  • Confident and articulate presenter 
  • Independent, self-motivated and hardworking 
  • Has a strong understanding of the digital landscape, and has a view on how the industry will continue to evolve in the future 
  • A negotiator who is able to solve problems pro-actively 
  • Will have experience of delivering innovative solutions to clients 
  • Basic knowledge of the media investment landscape is preferable  
  • Foundational understanding of how a global media network operates
