Client Relationship Manager

This is a great job for someone who understands the Asset Management Industry and EMEA institutional market segments (predominantly UK Corporate Defined Benefit, Local Government Pension Scheme, UK Defined Contribution Pension schemes).

A bit about the job:

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, servicing, and development of relationships with a defined group of institutional clients across various asset classes. You will work closely with the Client Relationship Directors (CRDs) on a strategic group of clients, primarily focusing on managing, servicing, and developing these relationships. Identifying risks to existing relationships and implementing appropriate retention strategies will be a key part of your role, as reflected in client plans. You will attend and host formal client meetings and due diligence visits, providing updates on fund and market performance with the support of Investment Directors or Portfolio Managers as needed. You will take ownership of client onboarding for both pooled and segregated mandates, liaising with internal and external parties as appropriate, including coordinating and completing legal agreements/IMAs in conjunction with the onboarding team where relevant. Representing the team on key internal projects and driving forward resultant actions will be part of your responsibilities. You will record all client relationship and servicing activity promptly and accurately in the Salesforce system, keeping organisation data, contact information, and mailing lists up-to-date.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Holds IMC or equivalent

  • Strong background in providing exceptional client service and ensuring client satisfaction for institutional clients

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and internal teams

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and demonstrate good collaboration skills to build effective relationships with different business areas across Aviva Investors.

  • Good understanding of the asset management industry and EMEA institutional market trends

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in

  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus

  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave

  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days

  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products

  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it

  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars

  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme

  • 21 volunteering hours per year

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
