The Role 

As a Client Proposal Apprentice, your role is designed to provide broad exposure to several core departments within the Client Group function. Over the course of the programme, the apprentice will initially rotate across key teams including RFP (Request for Proposal), Databases, and other platformfocused areas gaining a well-rounded foundation in assetmanagement before ultimately progressing into a specialist area. 

 

You will work with experienced professionals across the business, contributing to meaningful projects and developing technical, writing, analytical, and communication skills. 

 

What will you be doing? 

As a Client Proposal Apprentice, you will be taking part in a rotation programme:  

 

Databases & Platform Teams Rotation 

  • Assist in managing and updating product and firmrelated data on various Databases

  • Review areas of Databases to identify gaps and help build solutions / processes to improve overall Client Experience. This role will include working on areas such as ESG and AI

  • Support data integrity checks / audits and contribute to improving data processes and workflows

  • Learn how investment product information is sourced, validated, stored, and distributed across the business

RFP Team Rotation 

  • Support the preparation of highquality RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs across Wholesale and Institutional opportunities

  • Collaborate with investment specialists, product teams, compliance, performance, risk and other internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure submissions are accurate and wellcrafted

  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the content database (e.g., RocketDocs), including supporting updates, audits, and content improvement projects

CrossTeam Projects & Development 

  • Participate in team initiatives focused on operational efficiency, process enhancement, reporting and data quality improvement

  • Demonstrate accountability for maintaining and improving controls, supporting strong client outcomes, and contributing to a wellmanaged operational environment

 

What will I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail

  • Good creative writing skills and good grammar/authoring; Ability to write in a clear, concise manner

  • Confident liaising with stakeholders of varying seniority and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements

  • Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to write for multiple audiences and stakeholders

  • Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to improve processes and content

Minimum Requirements 

  • Available to start the apprenticeship programme in September 2026

  • You must not be enrolled into another further education programme at the beginning of the programme   

  • Be a UK citizen or have proof of your right to work in the UK   

  • Living in England 

  • Minimum of Grade 4 in GCSE English and Mathematics 

  • Minimum of Grade C in Three A-Levels or equivalent such as BTEC Nationals   

 

Training Provided 

As a Client Proposal Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake AI & Data Foundations Level 3 Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses  

 

Future Prospects 

This is a fixed term contract for 18 - 23 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.  

 

Salary 

£26,900 per annum plus benefits
