Client Partner, Strategic Partnerships

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.

We’re looking for a Client Partner, FMCG Advertising to join our newly established CPG Strategic Partnerships team. In this role, you’ll help us move beyond high-volume campaign management to provide deep, consultancy-style account management for our highest-value global partners.

Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Global Grocery business unit, reporting to the Head of Commercial. This isn't a traditional account management role; you will be building a function from the ground up, creating the playbooks and frameworks that define how Deliveroo partners with the world's leading CPG brands.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Strategic Partner Leadership: Own multi-market relationships for 2–3 of our top-tier FMCG partners (Beverages, Snacking, Health & Beauty, etc.), transforming these into long-term, collaborative growth engines.

  • Joint Business Planning: Negotiate and deliver 6–18 month Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that align partner objectives with Deliveroo’s commercial and advertising revenue goals.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a growing team of Senior Account Managers, shaping the culture and operating model of this newly formed function.

  • Commercial Innovation: Create insight-led value propositions and toolkits, including framework development and best-practice planning processes.

  • Consultancy-Style Support: Provide partners with deep category insights, thought leadership, and expertise in on-demand commerce to drive category leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Collaborate with Deliveroo Media, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to advocate for partner needs while balancing internal commercial priorities.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • FMCG Industry Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior Sales Manager, Controller, or similar role within FMCG, Retail Media, or Shopper Marketing.

  • Strategic Relationship Management: A robust track record of building shared value and growth frameworks with high-priority clients.

  • Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrable skills in mentoring teams and leading through periods of ambiguity and functional growth.

  • Commercial Sharpness: Excellence in negotiation and selling, with the ability to interpret complex sales data and translate it into actionable strategy.

  • Stakeholder Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust and collaborate effectively across a global, matrixed organisation.

  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A proactive "go-getter" attitude with the energy to build new processes and solve complex problems autonomously.
