The Opportunity:
 
The Client Partner, Media (Growth Accounts) is a key role responsible for owning and expanding the relationships with assigned large and strategic accounts. As the Account Owner, the Client Partner will oversee the account transition from the new business team, manage onboarding, and develop ongoing strategies for account retention and growth. The role requires a deep understanding of Shutterstock’s value propositions and the ability to align our solutions with customer objectives to drive expansion and renewals.
 

The Day to Day

  • Collaborate with the new business team to ensure a smooth handoff of new strategic accounts, establishing a foundation for ongoing partnership and growth.

  • Oversee the initial onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they are fully integrated and understand how to utilize our products and services effectively.

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders within assigned strategic accounts, consistently driving business expansion and ensuring high levels of customer engagement.

  • Regularly communicate Shutterstock’s value propositions to assigned accounts, highlighting opportunities for expansion and further collaboration.

  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to monitor product adoption rates and usage patterns, implementing strategies to increase engagement where necessary.

  • Develop strategic account plans tailored to individual client objectives and execute against these plans to meet and exceed growth targets.

  • Actively understand the evolving needs of clients and propose Shutterstock solutions that support their growth, identifying and capitalizing on expansion opportunities.

  • Partner with Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to develop a strong pipeline of new leads within existing accounts, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up in Shutterstock’s CRM system and other tools.

  • Efficiently manage and execute account renewals, aligning Shutterstock solutions with client needs to secure continued partnership.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for any and all customer needs, ensuring a seamless customer experience and the timely resolution of any issues or inquiries.

  • Perform ad hoc administrative functions as necessary, such as processing invoices and handling account documentation.

What you’ll bring to the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in account management or a strategic client-facing role, with significant exposure to managing and growing large-scale strategic accounts.

  • Demonstrated track record of developing account strategies, executing renewals, and identifying upsell opportunities.

  • Proficiency in CRM and sales enablement tools, with a strong understanding of sales processes and customer engagement tactics.

  • Prior experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success, and product development.

  • Knowledge of the digital content and media industry is highly desirable.

  • A relationship-builder at heart with the strategic acumen to understand and align with customer business objectives.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with senior-level executives and decision-makers.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple strategic accounts and priorities.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and complex solutions.

  • Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to anticipate client needs and present solutions.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using CRM systems to manage client relationships and sales pipelines effectively.
