We are now looking for an Account Executive - Education & Wellbeing to manage and grow our portfolio of university and college wellbeing partnerships. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with insurance experience or experience within the higher/further education sector to step into a role that combines account management, relationship building and targeted new business development.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing and renewing an established portfolio of education‑sector clients

  • Delivering a high‑quality, seamless service supported by our external provider

  • Building strong relationships with Student Services, Wellbeing Teams, Counsellors and key decision‑makers

  • Holding quarterly MI review meetings and identifying new opportunities

  • Prospecting and booking appointments to drive sustainable growth

  • Supporting our annual wellbeing conference strategy and representing Howden at partner events

  • Engaging regularly with internal teams to ensure high‑quality client delivery

  • Travelling as needed to meet partners and attend September promotional events

What you’ll bring:

Experience

  • Proven background in sales, client management or account management — ideally within insurance or a related industry

  • Experience or familiarity with the education sector, particularly universities, colleges or student accommodation, is highly advantageous

  • Understanding of student wellbeing programmes is beneficial but not essential

Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build rapport easily and adapt communication style to different audiences

  • Well‑organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable managing your own diary and balancing multiple tasks

  • Target‑driven mindset with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
