We are looking for a Client Development Manager to support this group, who will collaborate with our partners and across the Client Development and our Global Operations (GO) team to further develop existing client relationships, identify and build new client relationships, and enhance brand positioning for PIF in London, aligning with our global strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of PIF Client Development in Boston, the individual will be an integral part of our global PIF and Client Development Team, including working closely with our established London Client Development team.

What You Will Do:

  • Revamp Marketing and Pitch Materials: Overhaul and enhance all marketing and pitch materials to ensure they are accurate, relevant, and visually impactful, while maintaining cohesive global materials that can be adapted to local needs. This includes leveraging storytelling techniques effectively communicate our value to clients.
  • Pitch and Proposal Support: Prepare responses to RFPs/RFIs and handle daily pitch requests that clearly articulate our unique sales proposition.
  • Client Development Initiatives: Support key client development initiatives.
  • Business Development Tracking: Track new and existing business development opportunities for the PIF group. Monitor activity for key clients and prospects, as well as competitor strategies; integrate findings into ongoing plans.
  • Accolades and Rankings: Collaborate with Marketing Team to secure accolades and rankings for the PIF group.
  • Event Strategy: Identify and prioritise key sponsorships and events aligned to the global PIF strategy and closely track ROI.  Manage event planning as well as pre- and post-sponsorship and event strategy and debrief sessions.  Proactively maintain relationships with key industry organisations.
  • Research and Intelligence: Prepare research for lawyers attending conferences, analyse attendee reports, and assist with follow-up. Conduct competitive intelligence and marketing research for client and prospect meetings, pitches/proposals, and other business development initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in business development or marketing, ideally within a large law firm, professional services firm, or investor relations role in the private funds industry.
  • Preferred experience in the investment funds sector.
  • Experience supporting senior executives with strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep abilities in storytelling and to effectively communicate value to clients.
  • Strong analytical, project ownership, and organisational skills; a strategic thinker who takes initiative and has a can-do attitude.
  • Tech savvy with ability to articulate how it will drive value for the clients.
  • Ability to draw relevant and actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent organisational skills; ability to manage activities and next steps across several client workstreams with a real line of sight to outcomes.
  • Exceptional listening, storytelling, and oral/written communication capabilities for Executive-level stakeholders across different formats with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and quickly establish trust.
  • Exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information; comfortable articulating where you need help.
  • Flexibility and comfort working across multiple time zones; openness to new and innovative ideas and to change.
  • Proactive, creative, self-starter.
  • Power-user of core Microsoft suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), comfortable with CRM system functionality, and stay abreast with new evolving technologies (including AI).
