Client Development Executive - Clinical Services

Location: Hybrid with occasional requirement to work from MK office

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per Annum

Reports to: Head of Client Development

About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious Client Development professional to support the Head of Client Development and wider Business Development team in identifying, developing and securing new NHS insourcing and outsourcing opportunities across the UK.


Working as part of the Clinical Services commercial team, the postholder will proactively research NHS organisations, identify key stakeholders and generate new business opportunities through outbound activity, market intelligence and relationship building. The role will support the development of proposals and commercial opportunities that help NHS organisations reduce waiting times and improve patient outcomes.


The role acts as a key link between NHS stakeholders, commercial leadership and the wider clinical and operational teams, providing exposure to the full commercial lifecycle from opportunity identification and proposal development through to contract award and mobilisation. With structured training, coaching and mentoring, the postholder will develop their own pipeline of opportunities and progress towards managing NHS accounts and commercial opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Client Development in identifying, developing and progressing new NHS commercial opportunities through market research, competitor analysis and monitoring NHS waiting list initiatives, funding and policy changes.
  • Research NHS organisations and identify key decision-makers and stakeholders using publicly available information, NHS publications and industry sources.
  • Proactively generate qualified meetings and introductions through outbound calls, networking, conferences, marketing campaigns and other business development activity.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, commercials, presentations and bid responses, including follow-up activity with prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure robust tracking of all business development and sales activity.
  • Work closely with the wider Business Development team to develop commercial knowledge and progressively take ownership of opportunities and your own pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Leads and Service Delivery teams to understand service capabilities and ensure proposed solutions can be delivered safely and effectively.
  • Contribute ideas to improve business development processes and commercial activity, while consistently demonstrating ID Medical values in all client interactions.

Outcomes, Targets & KPIs:

  • Minimum outbound calls per week
  • Qualified NHS contacts added to CRM
  • Meetings booked
  • Introductory proposals sent
  • CRM accuracy maintained at 100%
  • Leads followed up within agreed SLA 24 hours

Background & Qualifications:

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident speaking with senior stakeholders by telephone.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Commercial accumen
  • IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office.

Desired:

  • Previous experience in sales, recruitment, customer service or business development.
  • Experience working within healthcare or the NHS.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
