About the Role:

Reinsurance claims servicing and operations

Augment Risk is building a capital solutions and trading platform that brings greater speed, transparency, and execution quality to reinsurance. We are seeking a Claims Operations Manager to establish and run a disciplined claims-servicing capability across our reinsurance portfolio. This is a hands-on operational role for someone who can bring order, responsiveness, and strong controls to a growing business.

Role purpose:

Own the end-to-end claims operations process after notification, ensuring that client, market, broker, technical accounting, and wordings stakeholders have accurate information, clear ownership, and timely follow-through.

Key responsibilities:

•  Establish and operate the claims intake, triage, tracking, and escalation process across treaty and delegated authority reinsurance business.

•  Coordinate claims notifications, bordereaux, reserve movements, supporting documentation, and information requests among cedants, reinsurers, fronting carriers, TPAs, and internal teams.

•  Maintain a complete and auditable claims register, with clear status, ownership, financial movements, next actions, and escalation triggers.

•  Monitor reporting and payment obligations; work with Technical Accounting and Treasury to support accurate and timely claims settlement.

•  Lead operational problem-solving on aged claims, missing data, disputed items, and late responses; escalate commercial, coverage, or conduct issues appropriately.

•  Partner with Wordings, Legal and Compliance, and broking teams to ensure claims handling follows contract terms and agreed authorities.

•  Produce clear management reporting on claims volumes, ageing, reserves, payment status, exceptions, and recurring root causes.

•  Improve processes, controls, and systems as the portfolio scales, including practical use of automation and structured data.

Required experience and capabilities:

•  5+ years of relevant claims operations, claims servicing, or reinsurance claims experience within a broker, insurer, MGA, managing agent, TPA, or reinsurer.

•  Strong understanding of claims bordereaux, loss reporting, reserves, settlement workflows, and reinsurance contract administration.

•  Ability to coordinate multiple parties and keep complex matters moving without losing detail or accountability.

•  Excellent written communication, judgement, organization, and attention to detail.

•  Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where processes are being built as well as operated.

Preferred experience

•  Experience with Lloyd's and London market claims processes.

•  Experience supporting delegated authority, specialty, or complex reinsurance portfolios.

•  Familiarity with broker-management, claims, or accounting systems and data-led process improvement.
