About the team / Division

The London Market and RE Claims Operations team are driven, diverse and ready for anything. We work closely with our Claims Underwriters and the Operations team to ensure that the Claims team have the tools available to handle claims in an efficient manner upholding service standards and ensuring data integrity across all London Market claims.

The London Market and RE Claims Operations team need to be continually flexible and adaptable to change. Operational efficiency is key to reducing cost and this team will be critical to driving change and ensuring that data inaccuracies are reduced through innovative solutions.

We are looking for someone who can be a part of a strong team, is willing to learn, embrace opportunity and get involved!

The Role

This is an exciting time to join a team that is critical in supporting the delivery of an ambitious vision for claims in the future.

You will have to manage curve balls – there’s not always a clear ‘to-do’ list, and sometimes it can be challenging to meet the day-to-day core tasks along with any ad-hoc requests.

This is a great opportunity to work in a claims operations team that is dedicated to providing high quality claims support. The roles and responsibilities are varied which provides great development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

· To assist in providing regular feedback to management and claims underwriters.

· Contribute to the strategy of the London Markets and RE Claims Team and ensure its successful delivery.

· Help maintain strong relationships across the business. Provide professional, efficient and effective operational support to the claims teams, whilst ensuring that core operational tasks are completed within given SLA’s

· Drive and support process improvement and business change; supporting project teams by being a source of information/expertise, gathering further information where required and drive the adoption of new initiatives amongst the claims operations teams

· Support the overall Operations division in their goal to deliver high operational standards by developing a good understanding of claims and the operational processes in place that support them.

The ideal Candidate

· A school leaver educated to at least A Levels with grades achieved of A*-C

· Excellent people skills

· Demonstrable communication skills both oral and written

· An ability to work well within a team

· A thirst for knowledge and an enthusiasm to learn new skills

· An ability to use own initiative and the confidence to ask questions

· Ability to question the norm and seek ‘a better way’

· Good mathematical skills and report writing capability
