Claims Operations are a dynamic, friendly team with strong organisational skills and the drive to pursue continuous improvement. We provide an exceptional level of service across a wide variety of stakeholders, ensuring that adequate processes are in place for the Claims team to deliver outstanding service to our customers.
This position can be based in London or Madrid.
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the Claims Operations Manager (COM) in providing operational support services to the Global claims team including the following:-
- Claims administration and support
- FNOL and Financial processing
- Processing of London Market Messages
- Support in the creation and maintenance of documented processes and procedures
- Support process change resulting from regulatory change, market reform or adoption of best practice
- Business systems testing support and training
- Bordereau validation and processing
- Loss Fund Management
- Event Code management
- Project support as needed
- Maintaining internal & external business relationships including management of 3rd party service providers
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the COM to ensure all claims administrative and operations support services are delivered to the agreed quality and within defined service levels.
- Assist with the production of operational claims reports, management information and other statistical data and analysis as required by senior management and the business unit claims handlers in managing the business unit, reporting to the Underwriting Committee, Asta Syndicate/EIID Board, CoCo and for brokers, clients and reinsurer presentations as may be required.
- Delivery of nominated projects through personal ownership or in collaboration with colleagues.
- Assist with the processing of London Market messages, ensuring validation errors are addressed and re-routed appropriately.
- Assist the Claims Operations Manager with the creation and maintenance of manual claims records on internal claims systems, together with processing claim bordereaux and loss funds.
- Produce exception reports and act on them in a timely manner to ensure accurate claims details are maintained on Everest Underwriting/Claims System(s) including claims estimates, USM/SCM processing and regulatory/business coding.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the business unit claims handlers and key Everest stakeholders, all external customers including Asta, brokers, coverholders, reinsurers and 3rd party service providers.
- Any other ad hoc duties or tasks as defined and agreed with the COM or the Head of Claims.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Business Experience:
- Appropriate professional qualification, e.g. ACII or similar.
- Claims Operations experience with a Lloyd’s Managing Agent/Insurance Co.
- Superior stakeholder management.
- Outstanding communication, both written and verbal.
- Experience of working with 3rd party providers.
- Ability to think proactively and offer solutions to problems.
- Ability to understand the bigger picture and visualise the end-to-end process of transactions.
- Extensive technology experience including ClaimCenter, IRIS, DMS, Workflow and MS Office suite.
- Strong analytical skills to ensure integrity of data, ability to audit and self-audit.
- Strong prioritisation and time keeping skills.
