The Role

To provide analytics, tools, and insights that enable effective risk-based oversight, drive continuous improvement in claims performance, and support the delivery of Lloyd’s Claims Strategy and broader claims enhancement initiatives.

Principal Accountabilities

Act as a data expert to support the Claims Team by delivering accurate, high-quality data, including:

  • Utilising claims management information and data to oversee syndicate claims performance.

  • Identifying trends, themes, and key drivers for improving performance.

  • Providing insights into portfolio performance and highlighting drivers of change

  • Ensuring the accuracy of claims reporting to enable informed business decisions.

  • Supporting and assisting with the delivery of claims transformation projects and thematic reviews

  • Contributing to broader Lloyd’s initiatives to enhance claims insights and drive market-wide efficiencies.

  • Promoting cross-functional collaboration to optimize the use of claims data across the Corporation.

  • Assisting the team with data production, use, and maintenance, including creating user guides and addressing user queries.

  • Staying informed on developments and innovations in data capabilities, updating key stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the market and the Corporation

Skills

  • Established mathematical ability and numeracy skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large and complex data sets.

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate these into actionable insights.

  • Ability to present data and analysis to various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

  • Operate strategically as well as focus on attention to detail.

  • Time management and the ability to manage workload with competing priorities.

  • Curious mind, looking at smarter ways to work and insights to be gained.

  • Responds positively to challenges

  • Takes ownerships of issues and is accountable

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of data management capabilities inc. methodologies, techniques, tools, best practices, and implementation.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of visualisation tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI.
