Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending and cash products across Structured Products Group, Rates, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading.
About this role:
Wells Fargo's Macro Group is hiring for an FX Analyst Sales position on the Corporate Rates & FX Sales Team. The role is focused on the marketing and execution of FX products, specifically in support of the risk management needs of Wells Fargo's Financial Sponsor client base. The position is directly client-facing and core responsibilities include the pricing and booking of trades, providing market updates, post-trade follow-up and interaction with settlements groups, management of client onboarding process, idea generation, and pitch book creation.
The candidate should have a technical understanding of basic FX products with a willingness to expand their knowledge to Rates products in the future. FX Sales team members partner closely with their counterparts in Rates as well as with other CIB coverage partners including Corporate Banking, Fund Finance, Leveraged Finance and Investment Banking to cohesively market the bank's full suite of client solutions. Potential team members should be focused on building strong customer relationships while also fostering a strong risk and compliance-driven culture.
In this role, you will:
  • Support the daily business of client coverage, trade execution and trade support for the Financial Sponsors team
  • Participate in the execution, booking and post-trade support of the desk's daily trades
  • Identify the market trends, develop market views and prepare market updates
  • Collaborate and consult with internal partners and interact directly with clients
  • Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of credit risk concepts
  • Help manage the client onboarding process

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Markets experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field
  • 6+ months of banking experience preferably in a sales & trading capacity
  • Strong interest in global macro markets
  • Basic understanding of FX products such as FX Forwards, Options, Swaps and Cross-Currency Swaps
  • Familiarity with credit risk concepts; CVA/DVA/FVA
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and work under pressure
  • High standard of collaboration to help attain group goals

Job Expectations:
  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Visa Sponsorship is not available
  • Successful completion of the National Futures Association (NFA) Swaps Proficiency Requirements within 30 days of hire, unless previously completed and current.
  • This position is subject to Dodd-Frank Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background screen. Applicants are subject to a new screen to comply with Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which states that Associated Persons (AP) cannot be subject to statutory disqualification. Under industry regulations, an AP is defined as a team member who solicits or accepts client orders for swaps. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
