Our mission is to elevate these studios' potential from early development to independence by providing comprehensive advisory services across production, publishing, technology, and more.What the Role EntailsAs a senior market expert, you will assist overseas game portfolio studios in developing China G2M strategies, covering market positioning, user insights, localization, channel distribution, marketing, and partner collaboration. 1. G2M Strategy Development
- Analyze China’s gaming market trends, competitor dynamics, and user behavior for assigned overseas games (primarily PC titles), and develop end-to-end market entry strategies (pricing, launch timeline, channel selection, etc.).
- Design integrated marketing plans tailored for China (including UA strategies, social media operations, community management, and IP collaborations), oversee execution, and track performance.
- Provide localization recommendations (e.g., cultural adaptation, policy compliance) to align with Chinese player preferences and regulatory requirements.
2. Partnership Management
- Engage with local publishers, distributors, ad platforms, KOLs/KOCs, and third-party vendors (e.g., localization services) to establish long-term partnerships.
- Support portfolio companies in contract negotiations, optimizing pricing, revenue-sharing models, etc.
- Strictly adhere to Tencent’s internal procurement and risk control policies.
3. Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Collaborate with internal teams to interpret China’s latest gaming regulations (licensing, content review, minor protection laws), guide compliance adjustments, prepare documentation, and develop contingency plans for potential risks.
- Experience: 8+ years in China game market/publishing, with 3+ years focused on launching overseas PC games in China (0-to-1 market entry expertise required).
- Track Record: Successfully led the China launch of ≥2 games from global studios
- Network: In-depth knowledge of China’s key gaming channels, media, influencers, and vendors; ability to fast-track partnerships.
- Language/Culture: Fluent in English and Mandarin (daily teamwork with domestic and global teams); strong intercultural coordination skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher; global study/work experience preferred.
- Soft Skills: Resilience, self-motivation, market acuity, and exceptional communication. Passion for gaming (avid gamer preferred).
