Role Overview

The Chief of Staff at Orbital acts as a force-multiplier for the executive team, driving high-impact initiatives and ensuring the company operates with clarity, speed and alignment. This role leads cross-functional strategic projects end-to-end, shaping execution plans and ensuring results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Execution

  • Lead and execute high-priority strategic initiatives across Orbital, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and successful outcomes.

Project Planning & Decision-Making

  • Support strategic planning, business modeling and scenario design to inform executive decisions.

  • Incubate and lead new initiatives from ideation through execution.

  • Conduct research and synthesize data into concise recommendations to support fast, high-quality decision-making.

Executive Support & Prioritisation

  • Partner closely with C-suite leaders to help define, align, and manage priorities across the organization.

  • Ensure effective information flow, preparing briefs, meeting materials and structured insights that enable the executive team to operate efficiently.

Strategic Partnerships & Business Development

  • Support the development of strategic partnerships and business development opportunities from first meeting through contracting.

  • Represent Orbital in customer, partner and external engagements

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating closely with senior executives.

  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills; proficient in financial modeling, strategic planning, and preparing board-level materials.

  • Strong ability to influence without formal authority and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated operational rigor, including process analysis, issue diagnosis, and development of actionable plans.

  • Bias for action and execution; thrives in fast-paced environments and manages multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
