Join us as our Chief Operating Officer, Finance

What you’ll do

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Finance, you’ll provide integrated leadership across Finance, ensuring the function runs safely, efficiently and in line with strategic ambitions. Reporting to the Group Director of Finance, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling high‑quality decision making, delivery and operational resilience.

You’ll be accountable for strategic leadership and execution, providing clear operational and governance oversight across the portfolio. You’ll also bring together finance and risk accountabilities with change leadership, people and culture ownership, and a strong focus on unified business management and stakeholder engagement.

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for an experienced senior leader with a strong track record of running complex operations and delivering large‑scale transformation within a Financial Services environment.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • Deep experience across Finance functions, ideally within Banking, including financial accounting, reporting, MI, planning and forecasting
  • Proven leadership of large, multi‑disciplinary teams across multiple locations
  • Strong expertise in operating‑model design, simplification and transformation delivery
  • Well‑developed strategy‑to‑execution capability, including KPI/KR design and performance tracking
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, operational risk and three‑lines‑of‑defence frameworks
  • Confidence operating in complex stakeholder environments and engaging at senior levels internally and externally

A qualified accountant background is desirable, but not essential
