Compare the Market’s Chief EFL Matchday CorrespondentFootball Content Creator | EFL PartnershipThe role

Compare the Market is on the hunt for a football fanatic content creator to become the face of our EFL partnership. This isn't a desk job. You'll be at stadiums up and down the country, camera in hand, bringing the culture, character and traditions of the EFL's 72 clubs to life for your social media audience.

Think of yourself as our very own matchday correspondent: part fan, part storyteller, on a season-long mission to tick off every club's unmissable tradition, one match at a time.

What you'll be doing

Hit the road You'll attend a set number of EFL matches every week, representing Compare the Market at grounds across the EFL.

A fan-led content series You'll be the face of a recurring content format built entirely around fan interaction: our community helps shape what you do at each ground, and you deliver it on camera. Expect a strong presenting/community management element, with the specifics of the format shared in full at interview stage.

It's a role built on community: your audience helps steer the journey, and you bring it to life

What we're looking for
  • A genuine, infectious passion for football and matchday culture, strong knowledge of the EFL and its fan culture is a big plus

  • Proven experience creating engaging short-form content for your own social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts)

  • An existing social media following of football fans spanning clubs and regions across the country

  • Confidence on camera and a natural, personable presenting style

  • Strong community management instincts, you'll be reading and reacting to comments in real time

  • Flexibility to travel regularly and work matchdays across the week or weekend

  • Comfortable working to a recurring content format while keeping it fresh and fun week after week

  • Strong editorial and brand judgement, you'll be representing Compare the Market and the EFL at grounds and reacting in real time, so you'll need to read what works for your audience in the moment while staying true to our brand guidelines

  • Comfortable working within an approval process, staying organised with content timings and turnaround, and taking feedback or edits onboard where needed

  • We care about content that reflects your own audience and tone of voice, so we're looking for someone who can bring their authentic style while working within our brand framework

Why join us

You'll be at the heart of a brand-new partnership between Compare the Market and the EFL, with the creative freedom to shape a fan-first content series from the ground up, and a season's worth of grounds, traditions and stories to explore. You'll also get to work alongside one of the UK's most-loved brand, so expect the odd meerkat cameo along the way!
