Job Description

Channel Marketing Manager, Consumer Segment, Europe is responsible for the management and coordination of Consumer marketing activities in Europe. Reporting to EMEAI Channel Marketing Director. Managing Reseller, Retail & Online Marketing. Plan and execute activities to drive maximum ROI for WDC products in the region. Demonstrate a clear understanding of all Consumer GTM and customer needs. Should be business oriented while driving activities with the sales and cross functional teams. Should have effective & adaptable working relationships & excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities

  • Develop Business and Brand Strategies for WDC Brands (WD, SanDisk PROFESSIONAL & Western Digital) in line with company Goals & Objectives
  • Manage Marketing programs & activities that will help achieve sales targets, volume, and market share by developing effective marketing programs for Distributor, Retailer, Etailer and VAR accounts in support of these goals
  • Develop InStore and Online second placements of WDC products with key retailers and eTailers. Execute Category Management and Content Optimization
  • Develop quarterly digital awareness programs in conjunction with the Digital Hub &WDStore teams.
  • Recommend & execute quarterly Go-To-Market (GTM) projects for our Consumer Brands
  • Brief agencies across a wide range of activities including, but not limited to, providing customers with appropriate POP displays to achieve primary, secondary and cross category placement in selected areas in store, driving in-store merchandising efforts and sales training initiatives with Distributors & Retailers
  • Manage the coordination of relevant trade shows, partner conference & sales trainings including, but not limited to design, content and logistical management
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with all Customers, Partner, WDC sales, product marketing, marcom, business operations and PR staff.
  • Administer overall MDF, Claims and PA management system for region
  • Hold and conduct weekly review on promotions with sales team.
  • Prepare and present an in-depth quarterly analysis of all promotional activities from prior quarter by region. Compare results to prior year highlighting cost, ROI, top sellers by product, by customer and other trends
  • Complete special projects, reports & analysis as needed

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent. Must be technically literate and proficient
  • min. 10 years business experience. Involvement in marketing-oriented projects strongly preferred
  • Consumer/Technology brand experience preferred.

Specific Knowledge

  • Aptitude to understand storage technology
  • Good knowledge of market research disciplines
  • Good knowledge of business plan and marketing plan disciplines

Computer, Software, Tools, Equipment, And Machinery Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint and Outlook required,
  • Ability to use effective Internet/Intranet searches

Language Skills, Able To

  • Clearly communicate in English (verbal and written forms)
  • Speak and present effectively in one-on-one and in small group situations

Interpersonal Skills, Able To

  • Requires excellent communication and organization skills
  • Use initiative to proactively identify opportunities and issues
  • Conduct business in ethical manner
  • Develops and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Maintain strict confidentiality

Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
