Linklaters is a global law firm, providing legal services in 20 countries and through 30 offices.

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.

The Role:

The Change Communications Lead shapes and delivers the communications strategy for major change and transformation programmes at Linklaters. Reporting into the Head of People Communications, this role provides senior-level counsel on messaging, engagement, and stakeholder management to ensure clarity and confidence during organisational change. You will translate complex business transformation topics into accessible, impactful messaging that supports adoption and aligns with the firm’s values and strategic objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic communications approach for major change programmes, including technology transformation, operating model shifts, restructures, and new ways of working.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders and programme leads to shape core messages, engagement objectives, and communications roadmaps, adapting plans as projects evolve.

  • Ensure communications are relevant, empathetic, and accessible for diverse audiences across regions and functions.

  • Draft, edit, and review complex materials such as programme updates, FAQs, presentations, and leadership briefings.

  • Advise on best practice for managing stakeholder expectations and addressing questions, resistance, or feedback throughout the change journey.

  • Oversee engagement activities (e.g., town halls, workshops, intranet updates), working closely with the People Communications team and wider internal partners.

  • Monitor feedback and data to assess the effectiveness of change communications, using insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Support the creation of toolkits, messaging guides, and training to enable local offices and managers to cascade consistent communications.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience leading internal communications for major change or transformation programmes within large or complex organisations.

  • Ability to translate technical, business, or cultural change initiatives into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.

  • Strong track record of partnering with senior stakeholders and providing communications counsel in high-impact or sensitive contexts.

  • Expertise in campaign planning, audience segmentation, and multi-channel delivery, with a focus on measurable outcomes.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, combined with emotional intelligence and resilience in fast-paced environments.

What's on offer:

This role can be based in our London offices, with a hybrid working model available.

Joining Team Linklaters will see you qualify for a range of benefits designed to reward the vital contribution you'll be making to our success. These include:
