💻 Role

As a Marketing Manager at Whatnot, you will own the growth of a product category in Europe while helping shape how we scale categories across Europe. You’ll immerse yourself in your category and the community around it, design campaigns that resonate authentically, and drive acquisition and retention in your market. In this role, you will:

  • Drive user acquisition for your category in our European markets, developing campaigns and events that generate community buzz and grow demand on Whatnot

  • Build and manage a roster of influencers and creators, treating influencer marketing as a core performance channel. You’ll identify, onboard, and manage partners to drive first-time buyers with a focus on conversion and retention metrics

  • Develop high-performing content in partnership with our creative team for paid campaigns, ensuring ads deliver exceptional conversion and first-time buyer growth

  • Lead the planning and execution of digital and in-person events, partnering with sellers and internal teams to deliver programs that build awareness and drive core supply and demand metrics in Europe

  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data to refine strategy, scale what works into EU-wide playbooks, and partner with US counterparts to adapt proven approaches for the European market

We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our London, UK or Berlin, Germany hubs.

We’re looking for a marketer with the experience and drive to grow a category in Europe, using influencer, paid, and event marketing as growth engines.

  • Experience: 5–10 years in consumer or category marketing, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You’ve seen excellent marketing first-hand and applied those lessons to drive measurable results

  • Influencer marketing expertise: Proven track record building and managing a roster of influencers and creators as a performance channel, driving first-time buyers at competitive CAC

  • Creative & performance content: Ability to develop and deliver content that performs in paid ads and fuels acquisition at scale

  • Event marketing: Experience planning and executing digital and in-person events that deliver measurable growth and community engagement

  • Proven experience running marketing across multiple European markets, balancing local relevance with scalable playbooks. Fluent in English; additional European languages (French, German, Dutch, etc.) are a strong plus

  • Executional excellence & data-driven mindset: Proven ability to fully own end-to-end campaigns, track KPIs, and optimize based on insights. SQL knowledge ideal

  • Mindset: Low ego, adaptable, and comfortable taking on unstructured challenges. You thrive in fast-moving environments and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves

  • Passion for creator communities and/or categories that thrive on Whatnot (e.g.,collectibles, toys, TCG)
